Nanaimo's new pesticide by-law in effect.  The fact that the banned products are still available to buy is due to the fact that the city cannot regulate what stores sell.  So its legal to buy but not to use,  luckily there are alternative products which do not contain the banned chemicals.   This will be the situation until either retailers choose not to sell products that people cannot legally use or until there is a full provincial ban on the products in question.

 Although Bumblebee buys only natural  products from specialized wholesale suppliers we researched what was widely available to assist in giving the public a complete picture of the situation.  One thing that we noticed is that the new natural weed control for lawns is very expensive at the retail level.   So much so that for the average lawn it will be cheaper for a homeowner to have Bumblebee visit.   Its  not only easier and more effective  to have us take care of your lawn but it actually costs less than doing it yourself!
